marriages have been known to end in divorce whereas sixty percent of second marriages end up in divorce. The divorce rate has risen sharply in the last decades and is showing a steady increase.

 

3. Custody battles: Modern divorces are characterized by more and more custody battles because of the favor courts are granting father nowadays. Mothers and fathers are battling it out in court more these days in order to gain control of the kids.

 

4. Commercialization: The divorce procedure is being used to enrich certain professionals. These include estate appraisers, forensic accountants and counselors. These people practically live off the fat of a divorce process. Basically, a divorce process generates more money now than it used to.

 

5. Younger population: The population of people getting divorced is becoming younger. More and more 30 years olds are filing for divorce and this strata of people have more money and assets.
